Music by Dimitri Smith has been heard on MTV, AMC, The Hallmark Channel, Nintendo Switch consoles, international film festival theaters, and virtual reality headsets around the world.
Based in LA, Dimitri is a boundary-pushing composer, writing for VR, film, television, and video games. He is the composer for the Google-commissioned virtual reality series "Immerse", co-wrote the theme song for LA's most-watched local sports show "KTLA Sports Final", and has composed music heard in MTV shows "Awkward," "Finding Carter," "The Real World" and "Are You the One?”. Gravitating towards new media, Dimitri frequently writes immersive scores for VR/360 films. Additionally, Dimitri works as composer assistant to Nathan Barr – and was Lead Scoring Technician on Universal Pictures / Amblin Entertainment's "The House with a Clock in Its Walls", starring Jack Black and Cate Blanchett. Dimitri has also assisted Nate in his scores to "Carnival Row" by Amazon Studios, and "The Son" on FX. An accomplished arranger and orchestrator, Dimitri was choral arranger for New Line Cinema's 2016 film"Keanu", arranged opening music for the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, orchestrated the season 3 finale of Amazon Studios' "Tumble Leaf", and wrote/produced arrangements a number of songs in NBC’s "America’s Got Talent" and NBC’s "Little Big Shots". |
